Page Overview
The Hatecholo homepage (/) is the storefront's landing page. It introduces the marketplace, highlights ways to earn with Hatecholo, and surfaces featured categories, products, and shops so you can start browsing quickly.
Interface Overview
The homepage is made up of the following sections, shown in order from top to bottom:
- Oklahoma City launch banner — shown while the catalog is still opening. It invites independent shops to become founding sellers and drivers to register. It does not offer a customer discount until live shops and online carriers are both in place.
- Hero image slider — a full-width, auto-playing image carousel. Each slide can link to a product or another page. Use the left/right arrows or the dot indicators below the slider to move between slides manually.
- Earn with Hatecholo carousel — two cards, for sellers and carriers.
- Haat Bazar — a grid of top product categories.
- Featured Products — a grid of individually featured products. If none are live, this section invites Oklahoma City shops to join.
- Top Categories — a second grid of featured product categories.
- Our Shop — a grid of featured seller shops, with a "View All" tile that leads to the full shop list. If none are live, this section invites founding sellers.
- About Hatecholo — Oklahoma City same-day delivery for independent shops.
UI Components
- Hero slider: Rotates automatically. Clicking a slide navigates to the link configured for that slide (or to the Products page if none is set).
- Earn with Hatecholo cards: Two cards —
- Become Seller — you keep 88% of the product price. Links to seller registration. - Become Carrier — local Oklahoma City deliveries, with pay shown before you accept. Links to carrier onboarding.
- Haat Bazar / Top Categories grids: Each tile shows a category image and name. Clicking a tile takes you to the Products page pre-filtered to that category.
- Featured Products grid: Each tile shows a product image, name, and price. Clicking a tile opens that product's Product Details page.
- Our Shop grid: Each tile is a shop card (see Browsing Shops). The final tile in the grid is a View All link that takes you to the full Shops list.
Note: Inspector and loader signup are not offered. The homepage does not link to those roles.
Step-by-Step User Guide
To explore a category from the homepage:
- Scroll to the Haat Bazar or Top Categories section.
- Click any category tile.
- You'll land on the Products page with that category already applied as a filter.
To view a featured product:
- Scroll to the Featured Products section.
- Click a product tile.
- You'll be taken to that product's details page.
To browse all shops:
- Scroll to the Our Shop section.
- Click View All.
- You'll land on the full Shops list.
To register as a Seller or Carrier from the homepage:
- Scroll to the Earn with Hatecholo carousel.
- Click Become Seller or Become Carrier.
- You'll be redirected to the corresponding external registration site in a new tab.
User Tips
Tip: The homepage is a fast way to discover categories you might not think to search for directly — scroll through Haat Bazar and Top Categories before typing a search term.
Best Practices
- Use the homepage carousels to discover new categories and shops rather than only relying on search.
- If you plan to register as a Seller or Carrier, have your business details ready before clicking through, since you'll continue on an external site.
Common Mistakes
- Looking for inspector or loader signup on the homepage — those roles are not open.
- Assuming the homepage lists every shop or product — it only shows a curated, featured selection. Use Browsing Shops or Browsing & Filtering Products to see everything.
Troubleshooting
- A section looks empty or is still loading: Wait a moment for images and product data to load, then refresh the page if it doesn't appear.
- Clicking "Become Seller" or "Become Carrier" does nothing: These links open in a new tab — check if your browser blocked a pop-up.
