Browsing Shops
Page Overview
Hatecholo is a multi-vendor marketplace, and each seller runs their own Shop. This article covers the Shops list page, where you can see every shop on Hatecholo, and the individual Shop Detail page, where you can browse a specific shop's products.
Interface Overview
- Shops list (from the header/footer navigation, or by clicking View All in the homepage's "Our Shop" section) — a grid of shop cards.
- Shop Detail page (opened by clicking a shop card, or a shop name/logo anywhere on the site) — shows the shop's header, its own storefront sections, and a filterable product listing.
UI Components
Shops list page
- Shop cards — each card shows the shop's logo (or a placeholder store icon if none is set), name, and star rating with review count (when the shop has ratings).
- Pagination — page number links and next/previous buttons at the bottom of the grid, shown when there is more than one page of shops.
Shop Detail page
- Shop header banner — the shop's own hero/promotional section (if configured by the seller).
- Shop info bar — shop logo, name, star rating and review count, and address (city/town), shown above the product filters.
- Haat Bazar / Top Categories / Our Shop sections — the shop can feature its own category highlights and related content, similar to the Hatecholo homepage.
- Product filters and grid — a Category checklist, popular Brands checklist, and Popular Tag buttons on the left (or in a slide-out Filters List drawer on mobile), with the shop's matching products shown as cards on the right.
- Reset button — appears above the filters when at least one filter is active; clears all filters for this shop.
- Pagination — below the product grid.
Note: The Shops list page itself does not have search, filter, or sort controls — it simply lists all shops with pagination. Filtering and sorting are only available once you're inside a shop's product listing.
Step-by-Step User Guide
To browse all shops:
- Open the header/footer navigation or the homepage "Our Shop" section and choose View All (or navigate to the Shops page).
- Scroll or use the pagination controls at the bottom to see more shops.
- Click any shop card to open that shop's page.
To filter products inside a shop:
- On a shop's page, scroll down to the product filters.
- On desktop, use the Category, popular Brands, and Popular Tag panels on the left. On mobile, tap the Filter button to open the Filters List drawer.
- Check one or more categories/brands, or tap a tag button, to narrow the shop's product list.
- Click Reset (desktop) or Rest Filters (mobile drawer) to clear all active filters.
Forms / Tables / Statuses
Shop cards and product filters don't use traditional forms; filters are simple checkboxes and buttons that update the product list live.
User Tips
Tip: Click a shop's name or logo anywhere on the site (for example on a product page) to jump straight to that seller's shop page.
Tip: Star ratings are only shown for shops that have received customer reviews.
Best Practices
- Use a shop's own Category, Brands, and Tag filters to quickly find items within that specific seller's catalog instead of scrolling through everything.
- Clear filters with Reset/Rest Filters before switching to a completely different type of product.
Common Mistakes
- Looking for a "Sort by" dropdown on the Shops list page — it isn't available there; shops are listed as-is with pagination.
- Forgetting that category, brand, and tag filters on a shop page only apply to that shop's products, not the whole Hatecholo catalog.
Troubleshooting
- A shop page shows "No products found": Your active filters may be too narrow — click Reset to clear them.
- Shop logo doesn't appear: The shop may not have uploaded a logo; a generic store icon is shown instead.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I search for a shop by name? A: There's no dedicated shop search on the Shops list page. Use the header search bar to find a product, then open the shop from that product's page, or browse the Shops list directly.
Q: Why don't I see a "Sort by" option on the Shops page? A: The Shops list is currently not sortable — shops are shown in the order returned by Hatecholo.
